Roadrunner’s Stand

Roadrunner’s Stand

Coyote, I keep coming back to you,
letting you hurt me again and again.
And I know I should give up–say, “We’re through,”
but, baby, I can’t stay away from you.
You set traps, pluck my feathers, leave me blue.
One day, you’ll take it too far, and what then?
Coyote, I’m finally leaving you,
because you hurt me again and again.
